The price is nice however there is known issue with the magazines on both the SR40C and the SR9C. The mags don't easily lock into the pistol. Ruger has to send me new mags for both models. By the way, this I no reflection on the outstanding service of grabagun. They rock.

Exceeded expectations!
I'm not a gun expert and I purchased this gun from my LGS not Grabagun. I really researched for a good concealed carry gun that could also be used at the range or home defense. When I seen how close in size this gun was to others such as the LC9 or Nano this is the gun I chose. The SR40c has full sized gun features (short trigger reset, 40 caliber) in a smaller frame. I traded my full sized (4.5" barrel) SA XDm 9mm and some cash. I don't regret it a bit. I liked my XDm. I don't know if it is the spring set up or what but the Ruger has less felt recoil than the XDm. It's smaller (concealable) and a larger caliber. I actually like knowing I have a manual safety. Once I have trained myself to check it each time before firing i will feel that much more comfortable about it. The gun has similar safety features with the loaded chamber indicator and trigger safety as the XDm but does not have the safety on the handle wich I do not miss especially with the manual safety.

As I've only had one handgun previously I don't have much to compare too. The XDm was extremely easy to field strip. The Ruger was a little more involved with a pin to remove and a lever to push down. In other words the next time I do it I will need to follow the manual again. The pin was somewhat difficult to get started and the spring had to be positioned just so so or it would not assemble correctly. As the other review states no FTF or FTE. Technically I had an FTF caused by myself by not pulling the slide back far enough and letting the spring do the work after that. I watched a review on YouTube of the gun and the same thing happened to the reviewer so I don't feel so bad. After the first time it never happened again. Just don't be shy loading the round into the chamber. I completely trust this gun. And me nor my wife had issues with it. Shooting one handed with the 9rd magaine was not much different than shooting with the full magazine two handed.

This gun was an absolute pleasure to use and that is why I am taking the time to write this review. I can't wait to shoot it again.

Wow! I mean WOW!!
I didn't think the SR9c could be matched in size, comfort, concealablity, or accuracy, but I was pleasantly surprised when my SR40c showed up at my LGS courtesy of grabagun's shipping department. Took it to the range after a thorough cleaning including removing the firing pin and cleaning the channel. 200 rounds with a mix of JHP and FMJ. No FTE, FTFeed or Fire. Extremely smooth, very little muzzle flip, back on target quickly, 5" groups @ 25yds, less than 3" @ 15yds, and 1" at 5yds! All out of the box! Trigger feels almost as good as the SR9c which is incredible... I'm sure after a couple hundred more rounds it'll be all broke in and it'll be hard to distinguish from the SR9c's go peddle. Highly recommended if you're looking for an incredible CCW with some serious stopping power at an incredible price!
