Great Budget Home Defense Gun
Wonderful little shotgun for home defense. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars on quality is because of the plastic trigger group and furniture. Not flimsy or cheap by any means, but possibly could be more heavy duty.

Good Gun for Home Defense
This is my first shotgun and I just wanted to say I didn't expect anything top of the line for the money.

All-in-all I really like this gun. It shoots well. It looks good. It handles easily. There are a few things I didn't really care for about the gun, however.

The bead site on the front is a little on the small side, so if you want to aim quickly and shoot you probably won't be very accurate. Also, while we're talking about aiming, the gun seems like it shoots a little high, but the barrel isn't curved so idk what could be causing that issue. One item to note about the accuracy of this gun is that 00 buck shot shot out of this gun vs. 00 buck shot out of a Mossberg 500 with the longer 28" barrel is like night and day. 3 of my nine pellets hit a medium sized pumpkin at 15 yards vs. a very tight group of all nine pellets hitting the same pumpkin at the same distance out of my brother-in-laws shotgun. Makes quite a bit of difference in stopping power.

The gun kicks like a mule. I've shot other shotguns and so I know a shotgun kicks, but this gun seems like it kicks harder than other 12 gauges I've shot. It could be the shorter barrel, idk.

When I first took the gun out of the box there must have been something wrong with the trigger assembly because I had to depress the slide release after each shot and then the gun finally jammed hard and wouldn't rack. After making sure the gun was unloaded I tried everything to get the gun to rack. Finally, after pulling back on the slide almost as hard as I could while holding the trigger depressed I heard and felt something pop in the gun and it was then able to rack. Afterwards the slide release issue was also fixed. I've put several rounds through this gun after this incident and so far the gun has performed flawlessly.

One last item of note is that the slide on this gun is kinda wobbly. It doesn't affect the operation of the gun, it's just something I've noticed.

Bottom line is that this is a really good gun for those of us on a budget who want a shotgun for home defense purposes. You wouldn't want to take this gun out for hunting or anything like that though.

stay away.. save a little more and get a better gun
I didn't buy this shotgun from grabagun but I did buy it.. I've never regretted a firearm purchase more than this gun. It goes bang but it has trouble cycling shells. Slamming the stock hard or soft doesn't matter, you're still going to have shells falling out the bottom of the loading port and you're going to have trouble with shells catching and loading. I think it's just unacceptable. When a shell does get into the chamber, it goes bang which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.. But the first time I fired it, I had to take it to my smith to get the fore stock unstuck. I haven't had that problem since, but I just think this is the worst gun on the market. I've bought $50 beaters from the pawn shop that are WWAAYY better than this hunk of junk.

A lot of shotgun for the money
Might not be the quality of a 500 or a 590 but a great home defense shotgun. A lot of shotgun for the money, love the extended mag. Dealing with grab-a-gun is straight forward and easy. What you see is what you get.

The Price is Right!
I was looking for some home protection and this shotgun fits the bill the price is right and it shoots great just like the expensive shotguns. Also GrabaGun is great they ship fast and their prices are competitive.

Great Shotty for the Money
Purchased the Maverick 88 for home defense. I had the gun within a week after ordering it. Like that it holds 8-shots. Took it to the range and performed as advertised. Like that Mossberg 500 accessories can be used on it. You cannot beat this price anywhere. If you are on the fence about buying it, don't be. It's my new "behind -the-door" gun.
