Convenient and accurate pocket gun. Fired one this weekend from my support hand and successfully put seven meaningful shots on target at CQB range drawing from my pocket. First shot was at 1.69 seconds.

Would you feel safe carrying it with round in chamber?
johnny on Jan 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not only would I be comfortable, I would not carry it without a round in the chamber.
That presupposes a proper holster. The LCP is the first handgun I started carrying on a regular basis, due to its small size and light weight. The LCP II is far superior to the original in terms of sights and trigger.
To the holster...I bought a Desantis Nemesis. Any handgun you carry with a round in the chamber must have a holster that covers the trigger. Just ask Plaxico Burris. The Nemesis holster is a great fit.
I liked to carry the LCP II, in the Nemesis, in the front pocket of my jeans, with a loose shirt covering it. The problem was that it would go down into my pocket, spin around, etc., and be tough to get out in a hurry. Check out a product called Clipdraw, which adds a bobby pin-like clip to the outside, which holds the weapon, in the holster, exactly where it should be when you put the pin on the outside of your pocket. I suspect the same would work for boot carry.
Good luck.

Good buy
Nice little gun and the updated trigger and sights a a plus and worth the extra money vs the lcp.2 was a little frustrating at first the gun did not want to cycle well with ftf,s and fte,s constantly especially with federal eagles. Took a little breaking in and a few hundred rounds later it is shooting well and my confidence is restored.

Good conceal carry option. Comfortable for average sized hands. Control is good
I bought this for concealed carry. It’s no bigger than my iPhone and not much heavier. Packs enough punch to do what’s it’s supposed to do. Accuracy inside of 12 feet is good. Not too much kick

Very good experience!
I read some mixed reviews here at GAG but my experience could not have been better! The price was fair, the flat rate shipping was reasonable, and they kept me updated at every step. If I purchase another related item on line, this will be my first stop. Thank you.

365 Carry
Love it. Was surprised with the accuracy. I carry it 365, minus when i go into a building with a metal detector. Be sure and keep it clean and a light coating of oil as mine had a slight haze of rust after a couple months. Buffed it off and keep it oiled once a month. Also added nail polish to the front sight post.

The Near-Perfect CCW/EDC
I wanted something powerful yet small enough for back-pocket carry. While .380 isn't my preferred caliber, I couldn't find anything in 9mm small enough.
Research led me to the Ruger LCP-II which, on paper, offered just about all my important criteria: .380, small/light enough for back pocket carry (in a DeSantis Nemesis or similar holster), good trigger, last-shot slide lock-back, working slide release, haflway decent sights and an accessible recessed mag release that won't unintentionally drop a mag during normal handling.
Ordered from GaG along w/a couple of spare 6rd mags and it arrived in 2 days (another fast, smooth transaction, thx GaG!).
Headed for the range w/some UMC FMJ and my first range trip was a mixed bag: trigger was excellent, functioning was flawless, but the grip was so thin my large palm only achieved decent contact front & back. This was not conducive to shooting accuracy or comfort.
Enter the Hogue Hybrid Grip Sleeve. While it does add to the thickness, I now have a good grip on the LCP-II, the sights almost align themselves, accuracy has improved significantly and shooting comfort is greatly increased.
After another hundred rds downrange, I've purchased a 2nd LCP-II to rotate between EDC & training. I've added a dab of white nail polish to the front sight (big help!), a touch of neon orange nail polish to the top of the hammer (if I see orange at the back of the slide, I know the hammer is cocked), the aforementioned Hogue grip sleeve, a MagGuts +1 spring for my carry mag (so it's 7+1 instead of 6+1 and has been 100% reliable), a SnagMag to carry a reload, the Galloway Precision 13lb recoil spring and the Fiocchi Extrema XTP .380 load to carry (it's one of the few loads to achieve FBI penetration specs while still getting modest expansion as .380 is the problem child: good expansion or sufficient penetration, pick one).
The more I shoot the LCP-II, the more I like it, it's now my 24/7 EDC.
Both LCP-II's had a single FTE very early on but have been 100% a couple of hundred rds later.
My only complaints are coming w/only a single mag (really, Ruger?) and the slide/bbl are blued instead of a more rust-resistant finish. Because of these, I give it 4.5 stars but wouldn't hesitate to recommend to another experienced shooter (recoil may be too snappy for a new shooter).

Great little gun!
I've put a few hundred rounds through my Ruger - no jams. Easy trigger. Super easy to conceal even under just a t-shirt with a Crossbreed OWB holster or a dress shirt using a "Deep Conceal" holster. Naturally, a 9mm or 0.40 is a more effective defensive weapon, but when those are hard to conceal under clothing the LCP II is a great alternative. The sites are black, so I painted them with sight paint.

Great Little "Carry" Pistol
I shopped around for a small concealable easy to carry gun for a year. I talked to a lot of folks, read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of demonstrations. I finally settled in on the LCP II. So far I really like it. It meets all my expectations in the it’s small, lightweight and really easy to carry. I really like it. I narrowed it down to the Ruger and the SIG (Sig P365 and 938). I really liked the SIGs a lot but they are a little larger and heavier than I wanted. Not as easy to hide. I shot them both several times before buying. The SIG shoots better to me and I like how they feel in the hand but went with the LCP 2 due to size. The higher cost of the SIG was not a factor. I don't intend to own a lot of guns so I'm happy with my selection. If you are a real gun guy/lady you might buy them both!
