Compact and lightweight, the Ruger LCP II features a small frame and durable construction, making it a great option for concealed carry. It features a hardened steel slide and a one-piece, high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame that allows it to remain tough despite normal wear and tear. The LCP 2's textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip, with the increased surface area providing better distribution of recoil forces. Designed to easily be drawn, the LCP II has fixed front and rear sights that are integral to the slide and a hammer that's recessed to prevent snags.
The LCP II also puts safety first, with Ruger's safe, reliable, and proven Secure Action fire-control system that combines a protected internal hammer with a bladed-safety trigger. Additional safety features include an integrated trigger safety, a neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement, a strong spring tension, and a hammer catch to help prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled.
The Ruger LCP II is similar to the original Ruger LCP 380 but includes some differences that are worth noting. One of these is the weight, with the LCP II boasting a slightly heavier build than the original model, bringing the total weight up to 10.6 oz while assisting in recoil absorption. The new trigger on the Ruger LCP 2 features a striker-fired action, making rapid firing a smoother experience.
