Purchased new 1/9/2025. not my first MAC / SDS firearm or last. Just want to share my experience. Weapon would not feed reliably. Failed to feed,load every second or third round. I assumed an issue with gas piston. upon tear down, I found the following issues, Both pistons were rubbing and rolling up wood from the wood for end. right piston from rear of receiver was catching on for end rear retainer. right piston was oozing whitish green corrosion, looked like a failed battery. Well, life hands you a lemon, make lemonade. I polished inside wood finish until smooth and sealed. polished piston opening. removed regulators, pistons and polished cylinder bore. then just to make it fun, NFA registered as a SBS and installed a new 14 inch barrel with a mobil choke tube system. New barrel came with new pistons and regulators. Happy to say everything woks flawlessly and the firearm functions with salvo12 suppressor. Note, MAC 1014 in my case had serious QC issues. No customer support email can be found on website, but they do have a CS phone number and warranty claim form online. I prefer email and in defense of MAC I never reached out. decided to mitigate the problems myself. Buyer beware! I included a Pic with 14 inch barrel.
