Lever Action X-Model Features

There are few things as deeply ingrained into American firearms culture as a lever action .45-70 rifle, especially when it’s made right here on U.S. soil. It evokes images and fantasies of days past while still being wholly capable in the hands of a modern hunter. The Lever Action X Model .45-70 borrows all that nostalgia and crams it into a feature-packed modern big bore rifle that begs to be put through the wringer.

Tough synthetic furniture provides a lightweight and worry-free alternative to our typical hardwood and accommodates in-line sling swivel studs, a Picatinny rail, and M-Lok accessory slots on the forestock. The solid rubber recoil pad ensures that the buttstock won’t slip and slide around while shooting a cartridge that can take down even the largest game in the world. The blued steel barrel is topped off with fiber optic sights for quick target acquisition and the muzzle end is threaded (5/8×24 pitch) to accept a suppressor or any other muzzle device you choose. Continuing with the theme of modularity, the rifle’s receiver is drilled and tapped to accept your choice of optics.

Keeping true to our roots, the Lever Action X Model .45-70 utilizes a 4-round removable tube magazine for convenient unloading, and the addition of a side loading gate allows that magazine to be kept topped off without needing to remove the tube or suppressor.

Overall fit and finish was great. My gripes are: it has weak ejection. The inner magazine tube is very loose. It turned and came out 3 times while in my range bag. And it binds alot when trying to load the next round. Even after 120 rounds fired. Henry has good customer service. But a gun that's 1000 dollars shouldn't have these issues. I have 2 Remlins that cycle smoother and eject way stronger than this.

I had the distinct pleasure of buying one of these rifles. It shipped quickly. Functions well. No issues out of the box. no issues shooting suppressed. Kicks like a mule though. If you're looking for a space cowboy, tactical lever action though, please be advised taht henry rifles do not come apart easily. it is very hard to remove the handguard. it's also pretapped for a rail, but the rail will always sit above the installed sights. Otherwise, it's a great rifle. 9/10.

Always wanted a henery, but needed something less pretty. I carry this on the ranch, often on the front of my atv. High quality, durable, shoots like a dream. Open sights at 100yrds, 45-70, right on the money.

I like it. It doesnt have as smOoth Of an action as my brass henry 30-30, but maybe it will smOoth out. I do like the Feel of It and the fact that It has a recoil pad and several oPtions on ghe forend for conNecting a sling, bipod, eTc.. there is sling swivel stud in a cutout aRe to avoid snagS and also there is a section of picatinny as well as M-Lok slots if thats yer thing. Would i RECOMENDED yes i would!
