I own a DPMS Panther .308 and I love it. So I am trying their .223 for cheaper shooting.

I am newer to shooting and so is my son. However, this is what seemed to get the best reviews for the money. Thanks Grabagun!

Predator control on the ranch. Coyotes and hogs. You have the low price even after paying the Texas sales tax. There may be a blue wave in November. Prices may go up after the election if the Dems take over the house.

Can you put iron sights on this rifle? Specifically, is there a picatinny rail on the gas block that a front sight can be mounted on?
Billy on Jul 22, 2018

The rifle I received had a rail on the front gas block. You can mount a front sight however the rail on the upper receiver is on a higher elevation by roughly 1/4" than the rail on the front gas block. I'm not sure if there would be enough adjustment in the elevation of the sight to make this application work. For this rifle an optic such as the Vortex Spitfire with an etched reticle is a good choice. Overall this is a great rifle with mil spec upper and lower receiver. I have fired many rounds through mine with no malfunctions.
I have a DPMS Oritcle it has .223/5.56 caliber stamped on the mag well. Does that mean I can shoot both calibers through it?
Cecil on Nov 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. You can shoot .223 in a gun chambered for 5.56. But you shouldn’t shoot a 5.56 in one chambered for .223. While the round is almost identical, the pressures are different.
I want to change out the handrail for a free floating handrail. What length would I need? My gun is on order and I am just trying to be proactive.
Ronald on Dec 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It's the standard carbine length, however that is a fairly significant alteration.
You would be better off buying an AR that already has a free-float installed.
It would save money and a lot of effort in the long run.
Hopefully you already know that there will be numerous other changes to be made to accommodate this alteration.
Do you have a brick and mortar store, that if Im in the DFW area I could pickup there and do background paper work?
Juana on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We do have a storefront at our Coppell, Texas location and we do offer local pickup:

200 E. Beltline Rd
Suite 403
Coppell, TX 75019

You can place an order online, and then check the box for "Local Pickup - Coppell Store" and we will send an email when it is ready to be picked up. Some orders are ready for pickup the same day, but others may take 3-5 days. You can also walk-in to our storefront if you would like personal service, or have any questions about our stock. If you are looking for a specific item that we show to have in stock on the website, we ask that you give us a call before coming in to confirm that it is actually here at our storefront, as many of our products are kept in secondary warehouses. Just let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

It doesn't cost a mint but it's VERY reliable.
Purchased this model as it had a nice price point and left my wallet with more $$$ for Optics and other accessories. Solid build and super accurate. From a bench she can easily bore 1" holes at 100 yds. Have not had an issue one with any FTF, Stove-Pipes, Lockups, etc. She loves both HexMag and Magpul magazines of ALL sizes. Added a Quad Rail Handguard and mounted my Optics and steel offset sights and we're ready to Rumble!!

Great AR
I have bought a few of these guns so far. I am a paper shooter at the range that shoots cheap ammo through it. I also like to tinker with them and add differant accessories. This is a great gun that shoots all sorts of ammo well even the cheap stuff and great its great for modding.
I have one that I have upgraded with a geissel trigger, Vortex HD Scope, freefloat handguards and other stuff. I also have one with an Eotech red dot with magnifier and one with just a bushnell red dot. Just like playing around with them and shooting them. Great price to learn how AR's work before spending the money for the top of the line.

Buy it !!
It’s very well-built very accurate and has to be the best value on the market . You can pimp it out a little bit relatively inexpensively and you’ve got yourself a rifle you can pass down to the next generation. Grab a gun was awesome very easy process this was my first purchase and will again!!!

Great quality, accurate and affordable
I've shot several AR-15'S and they are all fairly similar. The quality of the rifle is great and it's exceptionally accurate. But on top of that it was under $400. I am very happy with this rifle and I'm about to buy the .,308 version

Panther Oracle for Sale - .223/5.56

An affordable and accurate semiauto gun, the Panther Oracle is built to bridge the gap between the Sporting and Tactical markets. This introductory level carbine features a 16" light contour barrel, A3 upper receiver with Picatinny rail, railed gas block heat-dissipating GlacierGuards and a collapsible, six-position Pardus buttstock.

Altogether, it weighs in at only 6.4 lbs. The flat top A3 upper allows the shooter to mount the optic of their choice on the Picatinny rail. The 16" lightweight barrel provides plenty of velocity for most sporting and tactical applications.

DPMS Oracle Review by GEORGE S / (POSTED ON 8/17/17)

I purchased my Panther Oracle about three months ago and have about 500 rounds through it so far. It is well built, solid and amazingly accurate. The trigger is smoother than I had anticipated not that I'm complaining. She has taken every kind of ammo I've feed her so far and not one FTF/Stove pipe, jam etc. This Rifle ROCKS!
