No. There is no possibility. The SR9's loaded chamber indicator occupies the space where any sight base would need to mount.

You can mount an optic on a Ruger SR9C by pi up a Galloway Precision optics mount. I did this and it works great without having to mill the slide
The Canik METE MC9 slide is micro-milled to accept RMSc (Shield Standard) footprint optics, and because the Ruger ReadyDot also utilizes the RMSc footprint, it will mount directly to the pistol without the need for adapter plates.

From Grok: No, it won’t fit directly. The standard Ruger LCP Max isn’t optic-ready—its slide isn’t milled for an RMSc footprint. You’d need an aftermarket dovetail mount plate that replaces the rear sight, like the ones from Galloway Precision, which then accept RMSc optics.  The Ruger ReadyDot (or Ready Dot) itself uses the RMSc footprint, but Ruger also makes a special factory version of the LCP Max that comes with a ReadyDot already installed in a unique rear-sight dovetail setup—not the same as bolting on a standard RMSc optic.  If you want a red dot on your LCP Max, grab one of those adapter plates and an RMSc sight—it’s the common workaround.

You will need an adapter plate This one is for Rmsc footprint if you insist on using the Ruger Red Dot but keep in mind won't work well once sun is gone. Ruger has a mounting plate on its website for the 5.7 also outerimpact has a plate that takes different size I couldn't use the ruger ready dot once the sun went down or was pretty dark so ipurchased one that had battery and was multi-reticle DOT, cross hair circle, and Dot+ crosshair circle, check it out here. Yes. Ready dot fits Shield RMSC mounting FOOTPRINT. Your pistol manual should clearly say that is the cut in the EQUALIZER. As to APPROPRIATENESS, it works very well for rational DEFENSIVE shooting DISTANCES - as intended. 10 yd / 2" groups (off hand, of course). 20 yd, it will open up as the dot grows and your poa becomes less defined, so LIKELY to be 5-6" groups or 8 of 10rds on an 8" steel plate - still EFFECTIVE. On the little max 9 it has proven BENEFICIAL for gross defensive accuracies though not "essential"...more like "interesting" especially for the co-wittness with it's iron sights. The dot makes it clear if you push the aim Off With a trigger pull. As to the magic, battery-less illumination, it's been between very bright and sufficiency bright in varying conditions including SOFT/dim lamp-lit indoor space. Can't imagine it will do much if you're already stumbling into furniture in the dark. The price is really good for answering questions ABOUT using defensive handgun OPTICS - NOT for precision or long distance. It should work well In MOST defensive SITUATIONS & should make your targets look a bit better. We - 2 ok shooters - need to live with it longer to figure out if the current RED-DOT rage on defensive handguns is valid or just more extraneous marketing b.s. our THEORY: if you think you need one, first figure out how to shoot well without one, then get one to play with.

It works as intended, the dot seems to make me shoot low if I place it directly on my target. I had to teach myself to hold the dot above my factory sights on the ruger max 9. The good- yes it works. it does capture light pretty well though it's not the best in lower light conditions. The bad/weird it does not (and cannot) be zeroed, and out of the box you will need figure out where your gun hits to be accurate with it. I find that the dot can be hard to find, but i am not used to red dts on pistols that much. the dot is huge-15 moa which is great for fast target acquisition, but it is not for super precise shooting. Overall, for the price it is hard to go wrong trying it out, but if you want adjustability, a bright dot all the time, shake-awake features, a smaller dot, spend a little more and buy something better. This if my first red dot on a pistol that i own, and it is decent for the price, worth a try.
I like it. It's on a P-365 and works like a charm. Big dot, easy to find, perfect for these short barreled carry guns that are mostly going to be used at 25 yds. or less. Doesn't need a battery and actually doesn't need to be adjusted, the dot lines up perfectly with the factory sights. Keep yourself out of situations where it;s completely dark and you will be ok with this sight.

Ruger Readydot Has been a great sight. After passing over 500 rounds through my gun there was no issues at all with Ruger Ready Dot. It's accuracy has been perfect at holding zero. I highly reccomend it and I promise that you will be truly, amazed. It just goes to show that there are budget friendly options out there that not only achieve but go beyond .expectations! I ordered this without actually having a firearm to install it on, because I thought it was a great idea not having to worry about batteries going dead. I've sinced purchased a Ruger Mark IV Hunter and the red dot adapter plate. I absolutely love the combination! accurate and totally fun to shoot!! I wish it could fit on more firearms as I would certainly purchase more of them!
Ordered this optic with a very specific use case in mind and had my PSA Dagger Slide milled for it. I wanted an optic that would never need to be charged or have batteries replaced and wouldn’t have to be zeroed. A fire and forget solution. And for that, this thing is right on the money. Funny enough, the slide milling was more expensive than the optic LOL! The optic is great though, POA/POI out to 20m with 115gr reman ammo and the size of the dot makes it very easy to pick up for fast shooting.
I love using the red dot on my defensive pistols, but i hate having to replace the batteries about every 18 months. In some cases, it is just the annoyance of having to take it off, replace the battery and put it back on the pistol. In other cases because you also have to re-zero the red dot. This fit almost perfectly on my hellcat pro. I just had to make sure to put the front of the sight in place and lower the rear. When i didn't do that it was about 8" high at 10 yards. The dot is very visable and it is large enough to be able to pick up very quickly. I may not get as tight a grouping with this size dot as with the 2 moa dot on my other hellcat, but that is not the purpose of it either. this is well worth the very low price i paid for it. well done ruger!
The window has a lot of reflection making it hard to see the target. The dot is rather dim indoors. Doesn't sit on the RMSC mounting plate securely.
I'm extremely pleased with this optic. I put it on a Smith and Wesson Shield Plus and although I haven't taken to the range yet, the red dot does appear to line up just right with the sights. It did require me purchasing some additional set screws as the ones that come with the Shield Plus are just long enough to hold the plastic cover for the slide, but not the optic, and the screws that come with the optic are the correct size for the Ruger Max9 and is a different size from Smith and Wesson. I live the size and ease if use of this optic so far dry firing it, and I live the face that it is fiber optic and I will not need to buy batteries. The only issue is low light means the optic will either not work or be low kit, however my Shield Plus also came with a really nice set of night sights, so for me that's not an issue. For the price and what you get with the ReadyDot, as long as you know its few shortcomings and are okay with them, it seems like its well worth the cost of this optic.
