The Precision Mic .260 Remington is a tool for determining what the actual headspace of your rifle is based on a fired case. You simply unscrew the Precision Mic, insert your fired cartridge and turning until it is completely closed on the shell casing. This is the proper measurement for your rifles chamber. You take that number and now you can set your sizing die up to properly resize your brass. After resizing, you can use the Precision Mic to make a final check of the brass to ensure it reads 0, or SAAMI spec for the .260 Remington cartridge.
