The EOTech series of sights revolutionized red dots forever with the unique holographic technology and a large viewing window. The HWS 512 in particular is preferred by many Special Forces units for its large 68 MOA circle during close-quarters shooting and a 1 MOA dot in the center to aim more precise shots. The ring can also be used to roughly estimate shot patterns for shotguns as well. As an added bonus, the large circle dot arrangement is a great rangefinder in a pinch.
