Bowjax has answered with a string dampener that is crossbow tough and up to Bowjax's quality standards. Bowjax started with the proven effectiveness of the slipjax string dampener and made it thick enough to withstand many, many shots from even the strongest of crossbows. These do require a bow press to loosen the string and insert halway between the strands. They don't require serving string, but help keep them on the string longer if you tie a piece on to the tips. These are most effective for string dampening if they are 4 - 6 inches from the tips.
