Weaver Converta-Mounts allow you to mount a scope for slug shooting during big game season and easily remove it for regular shotgun use. Scope, rings and bracket become a unit that attaches to the semi-permanent side base, which is mounted on the receiver using specially designed case-hardened screws. The entire assembly (scope, rings, and bracket) can be quickly removed by loosening two large thumb screws on the bracket. When re-mounted, scope maintains previous settings and remains sighted in. The side base and bracket are machined from high-strength, lightweight, aluminum alloy. Non-glare, matte-black finish is elecrostatically bonded to the metal to form a hard ship-resistant surface. Instructions for specific mounting procedures are included.
