Great Revolver for a Great Price
Ordering was easy, shipping was quick, and there were no surprise charges.

As far as the Blackhawk itself, The action was a little "gritty" when first taken out of the box and there were a couple of very small scratches in the finish that looked to be from the manufacturer.

The grittiness went away after the first outing to the range and the scratches are very small and only noticeable to the most ODC of firearm enthusiasts (they could be buffed out if I felt the need).

First shot out of the revolver was a dead on bullseye at 7 yards. I shot targets at 7, 10, 20, and 25 yards and was impressed with the accuracy at each distance. .38 special is completely tamed by this revolver and it handles .357 magnum loads better than any revolver I've shot so far. The weight/size of the gun does a lot lessen the felt recoil as should be expected, but the grip shape also helps diffuse the recoil by having the gun pivot on a different axis than a modern style revolver.

All in all, I am very happy with the Blackhawk and highly recommend it as a great revolver at a exceptional price. It has become my "goto" range pistol beating out other more expensive large frame revolvers I own.

The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 on quality, was because of the very minor scratches in the finish and the gritty feel to the action when it was fresh out of the box.

All in all, I would happily buy another and would recommend it to anyone interested in a single action revolver.
