Factory sights on the M&P22 are nothing like the American made M&P line. (Isn't German engineering supposed to be better?) S&W says they do not make them and that no other sights are available at this time. I bought the S&W M&P22 to save money on ammo to get more practice in, however it is not good practice to have to aim totally different then you normally would with your regular firearm.
Also is extremely difficult to get a second magazine. Would rather have paid more upfront to have another clip included with the gun, if it were worth shooting. (Posted on 3/31/12)

Got mine yesterday, but 300 rounds of cheapo Federal ammo through it, not one problem. Fired off about 10 magazines as fast as I could pull the trigger, no problems at all. Love this gun (Posted on 2/16/12)

So the M&P22 is making it's way to the market. This is the handgun modeled after the centerfire M&P semi autos. (its made by Walther)

First impressions are super. One steel mag (12 rounds). No interchangeable backstrap but it feels about the size of the medium. Ambi safety. Mag disconnect safety (:-(. Adjustable sights. Fixed barrel design.

250 rounds in without any hiccups. Straight out of the box-no cleaning. A slight sight adjustment and was able to put 15 rounds into the size if a half dollar at 10 yards. I shot both CCI mini mag and STD velocity.

I am impressed. I will give more details when I go back to the range. (Posted on 10/13/11)
