Awesome gun for the price.
Well made handgun espically for the price. Shot 200 rounds thru it first time at range no misfires. Safety and slide little stiff but loosen up after break in. Only con, only comes with one mag.

Great Gun at a Great Price
I've owned my SAR for almost a year now, and I love it. It mimics the CZ75 for half the price. As others have said, it is stiff out of the box. In fact, I had to shoot it with gloves on for the first 100 rounds or so, the trigger was so tight. But don't give up on it. Now that it's loosened up, it's a dream. Never malfunctions. It's a joy to shoot, and at a price that seems too good to be true.

Great gun at twice the price. An American CZ slide-in-frame
I had some degree of expectation with the slide-in-frame design as a sort of American version of the the CZ (while EAA is a Florida based company they are assembled in Turkey). I had recently purchased the CZ-09 in .40 cal and the two fire in identical fashion. The CZ had a little more weight (even though they went to polymer non mechanical parts to lighten the gun) and was a bit beefier but the SAR was unexpectedly accurate with the same construction. Because of its lighter weight and thinner body it does have an unexpected kick in that first shot that I was not expecting. It turns out that this gun is worth the money at twice the price. There is a reason a lot of law enforcement agencies are going to it as standard issue. It actually shot even better one handed (not a good practice for those not already trained to do so in the military or law enforcement of which I have both). I would recommend the gun to anyone. The slide isn't too terribly stiff and will lighten up with more use but it does have the similar feature to the CZ of having very little slide to grip in order to charge the gun. You will have to sling shot the slide because someone not familiar with either of the guns are likely to get something with skin on it clipped by the ejection port since your hand would have to stratle it. I would recommend picking one up before the price inevitably goes up. If for no other reason than to put in the car or leave in the hiking camel back. Here in Montana its foolish to go out in the woods unarmed and its thin small frame makes it easy to carry yet the barrel is long enough to hit bullseys as I did at a range of 25 meters (not feet.....meters) even in the 9mm which is so light it has a tendency to drift. I hit the target on every shot.

As usual among these reviews, GAG gave me excellent and patient service (as I have a stutter from Iraq) , answered all my questions and shipped on a Wednesday and it arrived the next day.

Great gun for a great price. Expect it to go up as demand increases.
I bought this as a "downstairs" weapon after reading the reviews which talked about great gun for the price. Wow! I didn't think it was as tight as I expected from the reviews but it also loosened up even more after I went to the range an put about 150 rounds though it. All my shots were well grouped. I could easily make this my favorite gun and for the price I might just get another one. The only issue, if there has to be one, is when I went to field strip it. The slide release was impossible to get out without a some metal tool to push on the end of the lever. I ended up using the empty mag - which I recommend buying an extra one. All in all I am very pleased.

Very good value.
I am very happy with the initial apparent quality of this weapon. As others have said, it may need a decent break in period as I find the slide release overly tight even after initial cleaning and lubrication. I really like to wide grip of my Bersa 380 Plus, and was surprised with the good feel of this gun in my relatively small hands. I am holding back five stars for value and possibly quality until I cycle more rounds through it.

Take a chance in this brand!
I own 3 of these and they shoot as great as something costing 3 times the price. They are based on the CZ and Tanfoglio/ SAR have tweaked it.They will eat any ammo you can load into the mag. Easy enough to field strip. I like the fact that the barrel is low into the frame and that makes it easier to manage recoil, that and 2 recoil springs. I thought it was a nice touch the slide rides INSIDE the frame.
Take a chance o this pistol, I don't think you will believe how accurate and well made it is.

Get it while it's modestly priced.
I was skeptical till I purchased one.I like that the slide rides inside the rail as opposed to outside. This makes the gun less top heavy and tight. It's a tack-driver, too. I've never fired a weapon as accurate as this one.. I own the full size and 2 compacts in 9mm. They are very easy to conceal. I run ammo thru them like a sewing machine.

nice gun with only one mag
It is a nice gun. The fire case is so so. Only comes with one mag, a little disappointment on that since the the unclear description, I always feel there should be two mags at least.

great buy
Very nice gun just got back from the range and held its own.for the price its a must buy. I don't think it will be at a great price to much longer once people start hearing and seeing it at the range. My grouping was nice right out of the box.The only bad part is only on mag. But i ordered two more at around $25 each not bad

Great Value
This may be the best handgun value out there. I gave 4 stars on the quality because of some minor details. I wish I could have given 4.5 stars because they are not that great and it is better than many more expensive pistols.
As one reviewer pointed out, it is very tight out of the box and needs a break-in period for the trigger and safety to get smoother. The sights are not bad but not great. Ergonomics are very good with the exception of the slide release cannot be removed for field stripping without a tool of somekind to push on the end of the lever.
If you like CZ type operation (and I do), you'll like this pistol. I do not know how they can sell a pistol this good for this price.

I have a few 9mm pistols sigs, glocls, steyr, This sar holds its own against any of them. Very accurate, feeds any ammo no jams ! Its getting much smoother the more I shoot it. I have polished the frame rails with some 400 grit sand paper its slick as owl sxxt ! I got some CZ mags Mec-gar $20.00 each must open the hole for the frame to lock up solid. this is a real sleeper buy one now before the word gets out and the price go up! I may just buy me another just to sit on. love this little shooter.

Excellent value
These are quite stiff out of the box, but quickly loosen up after a few mags worth. Probably the best value in CZ clones. The only downside is holster availability. They are a bit thicker in the middle than the original CZ so they do not fit a CZ holster. Uncle Mike's generic size 5 seem to be the way to go.

G-A-G's service and speed was excellent.
